Wow, I cannot believe that January is half over already! I have finished reading You Only Die Twice by the wonderful Christopher Smith, this month’s author of the month. I will have a review for that shortly and will also be starting on Fifth Avenue, which I have heard such amazing things about!

What I would love some help with is a pick for Feb’s author of the month.  Remember I will be picking an author that I have not yet read.  I am open to all genres, so please leave your ideas in the comment section. I cannot believe that today is the final day of 2012.  This year has flown by and each year seems to go quicker than the one before.  I hope everyone had a great year and made some great memories.  My year held ups and downs, as every year does, but overall it was a great one.  Another fabulous year watching my two precious children grow, change and learn, another year spent becoming closer to family and friends and, of course, another year of fabulous books!  Please be sure to check out my page listing my favorite reads of 2012 and I would love to hear yours (I can always add more books to my TBR mountain, lol).   Books bless us and take us to any world we wish to go and experience anything that we wish to experience.  My children have grown in their love of books this past year and that thrills me to no end.  My 10 year-old daughter and I have even read a few of the same books and discussed them together – such  fun and enriching moments that I hope to continue!

I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year and may you all be blessed with goodness, peace, happiness, love and joy.

With the new year upon us, I thought I would do a bit of a revamp to the blog. What do you think of the new look? I would love to hear suggestions and ideas of what you would like to see here at Cafe of Dreams! My hope is to blow this blogging slump out of the water and get back to it. I miss chatting with my book reading friends and helping out all of the awesome and talented authors out there. So be on the lookout for more spotlights, book reading ideas and, of course, reviews! I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and that the new year holds incredible blessings and good things!
