When she's not working on a new story, she spends her time reading contemporary romances, blogging, playing way too many games of Scrabble on Facebook and spending time with her husband of 22 years and their two sons in North Carolina.
1) What genres are your favorites to read? How about to write in?
I have always been a die-hard contemporary romance gal. I started reading Harlequin romances when I was in middle school and discovered the Desire line (Silhouette) and I knew that this was really what I wanted to write. My debut book, Jordan’s Return doesn’t fit that format but it was just a story that had to be written!
2) Who is one of your favorite characters that you have written? Please tell us about him/her and what book they are in.
In “Catering to the CEO” (which is TOTALLY a Desire-esque book), I love my heroine Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Jacobs. She is independent and not afraid to stand up for herself and she has a bit of a sarcastic side that leans towards snarky and she just embraces the type of woman that I enjoy reading about – confident and compassionate and sassy – she’s nobody’s victim.
3) For those who have not read your work yet, what book would you recommend starting with?
Well, being that I am newly published, I suggest starting with the only one that is in print thus far – Jordan’s Return. I have three other titles scheduled for 2012 so I am hoping readers will enjoy this debut book so much that they will be excited about the others!
4) Where can readers find and connect with you on the web?
You can find me on Facebook ~ website ~ Twitter
5) What is one thing that you could not live without?
Just one! It depends on the time of day! I drink way too much Coca Cola and my co-workers will tell you that I can’t live without that but I think it’s really because I’m much easier to be around when I have one handy! My laptop is always close at hand but at the end of the day, I could not live without my husband and kids. They make my life worth living.

I think you're fooling us about your age. In that picture you don't look like a 40 something. :)
Wishing you the best,
