My Heart Has Wings is a gloriously beautiful and encouraging book for people of all walks of the world. The author, Kris King, shares her journey, struggles and victories to become the truest person and the best version of herself that she could be. There are 52 wonderful reflections that the reader can do week by week - read each passage, examine each photograph, and do deep self reflection with the the questions at the end of each section. Granted, a reader may read the entire book at once, in sections, or however they please and they are guaranteed to take something away with them.

A few examples of the things that Ms. King talks candidly about within My Heart Has Wings are: When I Changed My Mind, I Changed My World, The Party's Over. Now What?, Simple Gifts, Spreading Our Wings, Dive In and Take Flight, Circles of Life, Divine Forgiveness, Becoming and Exceptional Parent, Person, Doing the Right Thing: Miracles, and ending with #52 - Let Your Light Shine. Each of the 52 sections begin with a mesmerizing photograph, then followed with a thought provoking quote, leading into Ms. King's writing and ending with a page of reflection.

My Heart Has Wings is a true treasure to cherish, to aid in reflection and allowing each and every individual to become the very best person that they can be. I really enjoyed this collection, for both the thought provoking stimulation, as well as the visual stimulation. I found the entire book to be very calming and comforting and truly feel this holds something for everyone.

I want to share a couple of poems from the book that really touched me.

Pg. 49 - 50

I bless the earth and all her people
holding all with tenderness and grace,
with respect for all of life
and spirit

I am blessed in marriage
two souls joining and independent
two hearts compassionate and true
two spirits soaring!

I bless the sun and the moon for
lighting my life
creating warmth
and the crystal night for
making space for my dreams

-Kris King

pg 327:

Is this a call to arms?
Not unless it is for arms to encircle
someone in need of tenderness.
Is this a call to arms?
Not unless it is for arms to point out a
new direction of peace and healing.
Is this a call to arms?
Not unless it is for arms to be a safety
net for those who are falling.
Is this a call to arms?
Not unless it is for our arms to entwine
courageously to take a stand for truth.
Is this a call to arms?
YES!
