Karen White - The Lost Hours - Giveaway!

I am thrilled and excited to announce that I have an extra copy of Karen White's The Lost Hours to giveaway to one lucky winner. I wanted to post this in coordination with Karen's tour stops here at Cafe of Dreams. Since I am tying them in together, this contest will be open only a short time - a winner will be drawn on April 7th.
To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment! For an extra entry, please share a time that you wish you could get back - be it a time you missed out on with a parent, family member, best friend, etc. Often we get caught up in day to day life and we don't realize, until it is too late, that we missed out on precious hours spent with a loved one.

Good luck everyone!! Please be sure to stop by the tour posts and show Karen some love by leaving a comment!

I would love to win this book!

A time I would like to get back to - about 5 years ago - my grandfather was still alive. I would like to spend more time with him and learn more about his service during WWII so I could share his bravery with my two sons. And I would just love to be with him one more time.

What a great question. I guess the time I would most like to have back is the time right before my first daughter was born. I was so impatient for her to arrive that I didn't enjoy the process as much as I wish I had.

Please enter me! My kids are now 3 and 5 and I really wish I had taken more time to enjoy my 3 year old as a baby. The time went so fast and I was getting used to being a mommy of 2 and trying to figure it all out. I feel like I didn't fully appreciate her babyhood. And I so miss her cuddlyness now that she's a toddler/preschooler with a mind of her own!

Thanks for the great giveaway!

A time I wish I could go back to would be about 4 years ago. That would be before my first husband was killed in a car accident.

I'd love to be entered in this giveaway.

A time I wish I could go back to was many years ago when my uncle was in the hospital. I'd visited him once but didn't go with my mum on any return visits 'cause back then I was pretty depressed(for other reasons) and didn't leave my bed much. He told my mum to tell me something but my mum told him to tell me himself. The next time I saw him was a few days later when they pulled the plug but well, he wasn't exactly there anymore.

I wish I could go back to when my maternal grandmother was still alive and ask her more questions about herself and her life in England before she immigrated to Canada. I miss her.

As for a time I wish I could get back. My daughter's childhood from 9-18. Alot happened in those years. I wish I could do it over and give more of myself to her. Not that it would matter much these days, we're closer than ever. Yet it would mean more to me, to be able to have been a better mother.

Thanks for this opportunity! Indigo

I'd love to be entered....

the time I would like to get back is when I was in college and I wanted to go home after classes and eat dinner before heading back to the place I fear most, the hospital, to see my grandmother. I would go back and leave directly from college to the hospital. I missed saying goodbye by minutes.

If I could go back to one moment, I'd go back to the time I was in Hawaii with my best friend. At night we'd go out into the pools and make friends with the other people there. It was so fun and I was so happy then. I didn't have the worries and problems I do now. Things have happened since then which have completely changed my life, and not in a good way. I wish I could go back to then when I was so happy and carefree.

I would like to go back and really listen to all the stories from my Nana, and Aunt Molly. I should have learned so much more from them.

I would like to enter this one too, April.

My response to your question won't be very original, but it comes from the heart. I would really like to go back and spend more time with my maternal grandparents--pay more attention to their stories and just enjoy their company. They were gone all too soon.

I would have loved to've had more time with my sister-in-law actually 2 different ones actually. One was my age, she would be 44 but died 1 and 1/2 years ago and the other died during childbirth and wish i had spent more time with her but my life was so busy then and so was hers. One thing that is a guarentee in each ones life is that it can end at any time. I remind myself frequesntly not to take time for granted.

Please add my name to the drawing. The description of the book sounds fascinating and mysterious.

I would like to get back some of the earlier years when my son was younger. He's 10 now and he's had some health issues and I wish that I could go back and enjoy some of those times.

extra entry: I was in a whole different part of the US than my Mother from 2001-2007 and didn't get back to my hometown as often as I would have liked. I moved back in March of 2007 and in December 2007 my Mom passed away. There was so much I wished I would have asked her about family history etc. I lost out as I didn't imagine she would suddenly pass away.

As others have said, I would like to go back to when my children were small. I would spend more time playing with them and enjoying them and taking them places instead of worrying about whether they ate all their veggies or whether the house was spotless!

I would love to be in the drawing for The Lost Hours book. I have been follow the whole blog tour.

The question you ask about a time I would like to get back. It would be almost 3 years ago I had a childhood friend that committed suicide and the last time I saw him alive I acted as if i was in too much of a hurry to sit down and chat with him. I feel now that if I had I could have done something to talk him out of the feelings he was having that caused him to do such a terrible thing to himself and the family and children he left behind.

This looks like such a great book I would love to be entered!

A time I would like to get back is 10 months ago when my mother passed away. We had a falling out and spent almost 5 years not speaking or seeing each other. I was with her the final week of her life, but she wasn't able to communicate so never had he chance to talk and work things out before she passed away. That is definitely something I wish I could get back.
Thanks so much for such a wonderful giveaway!

This book is on my wishlist - please count me in!

A time I wish I could get back is the end of high school. I wish I would have enjoyed having little responsibility and spent more time with friends having fun instead of taking so much time to plan for my future!
