Drood by Dan Simmons - audio book Giveaway #1

Ok, guys and gals, I promised that April would be a month of giveaways here at Cafe of Dreams and I meant it!! Next up will be 3 different AudioBook versions of the following: Drood by Dan Simmons, Run For Your Life by James Patterson and a box set of the first 3 books in James Patterson's Woman's Murder Club series (this includes 1st to Die, 2nd Chance and 3rd Degree)

For Giveaway #1, I have 3 sets of Drood by Dan Simmons (click here to check out my review for the book version) This is the abridged version and contains 9 CDs, approx. 10 1/2 hours of storytelling pleasure and narrated by Simon Prebble. I'm going to be totally honest here and say that I enjoyed the book so much that I am now listening to it on audio CD, so when Hachette Book set forth this great giveaway, I jumped on it and am so excited and thrilled to be able to offer 3 sets of this to my readers!

Entering is easy, please just leave a comment below and if you would like an extra entry, just tweet about the giveaway (or mention it on your blog), please let me know that you have done so, and you will gain an extra entry. This contest is open to US and Canadian addresses (no PO boxes please). Also, please leave your email address in your comment so that I am easily able to contact you if you are a winner!

Contest will be open until April 25th, with the winners being picked by the Randomizer on April 26th.

Good luck to everyone! For those who are not familiar with Drood, here is a brief description:

On June 9, 1865, while traveling by train to London with his secret mistress, 53-year-old Charles Dickens--at the height of his powers and popularity, the most famous and successful novelist in the world and perhaps in the history of the world--hurtled into a disaster that changed his life forever. Did Dickens begin living a dark double life after the accident? Were his nightly forays into the worst slums of London and his deepening obsession with corpses, crypts, murder, opium dens, the use of lime pits to dissolve bodies, and a hidden subterranean London mere research . . . or something more terrifying?Just as he did in The Terror, Dan Simmons draws impeccably from history to create a gloriously engaging and terrifying narrative. Based on the historical details of Charles Dickens's life and narrated by Wilkie Collins (Dickens's friend, frequent collaborator, and Salieri-style secret rival), DROOD explores the still-unsolved mysteries of the famous author's last years and may provide the key to Dickens's final, unfinished work: The Mystery of Edwin Drood. Chilling, haunting, and utterly original, DROOD is Dan Simmons at his powerful best.
